FourFour2 has announced that it has acquired electronica producer Electrongeography for $1.1 billion.
The studio’s founders, Michael and Laura Stacey, are also responsible for the electronica imprint Tinkers & Tinklers.
The studio will be renamed and will operate as an independent label.
Electron Geography is also working on an album, which is due to be released later this year.
Electron Geographies lineup also includes new artists The Unsolved Mysteries and The Unfinished Music.
The label’s new lineup also features two new songs from the duo, one from the upcoming album The Un-Done and one from their upcoming album Lola.
